This is my second version of this picture [link] , but the scan turned out soo grainy that I actually had to blur the whole thing. Also, I had to scan it twice and put it together in GIMP. Unfortunately I don't know how to get rid of that line in the middle of the picture with that program :-(

I really like all those greens you've employed in your garden walk picture, but where are the rest of your legs?

Btw, I really like your preliminary sketch too. It's a little bit different from this piece, as it looks more softer. So, I guess I like both really. :) 8-)

I didn't have the legs in my reference photo so I thought I'd leave them out because I wouldn't possibly paint beyond where her legs end, but ... ah well. ;-)

Die Linie in der Mitte kommt davon, dass der Scanner das Bild an den Rändern dunkler macht. Vermutlich liegt die rechte Hälfte des Bilder auf der oberen Ebene und die linke Hälfte geht unter der rechten noch weiter.

Wenn das so ist, dann kannst Du zwei Sachen machen:

(1) Du scannst das Bild in drei oder vier Teilen und schneidest aus jedem Scan nur einen schmal Streifen in der Mitte aus, d.h. Du schneidest die dunklen Ränder weg.

(2) Du wählst die linke Hälfte des Bildes aus und etwa 100 Pixel von der rechten Hälfte. Dieser Auswahl machst Du eine weiche Auswahlkante von 200 Pixel. Und dann regelst Du für die rechte Hälfte die Helligkeit so herauf, bis beide Hälften am Übergang gleich hell sind.

Mein Scanner leuchtet auch so ungleichmäßig, und ich mache eine Kombination aus beiden Lösungen.

Ohh I love it. Especially the her dress and the nice, hardly colored way. It looks great.
